CONDITION – DEFECTIVE
An iPhone 15 Pro Max designated as defective may include units with total damage, water damage or other liquid damage. The device must have a non-rechargeable battery that prevents startup. The screen and back may be damaged, but both Touch ID and Face ID should be fully functional.
The device is defective if one or more of the following points apply
- The device has a broken screen or back
- The device has battery problems or cannot be charged
- The device has malfunctioning Face-ID, touch-ID or other biometric sensors
- The device has software problems or cannot activate
- The device has other functions that do not work
- The device must not have been exposed to liquid
- The device must not be locked with Apple ID
- The device must not have been reported missing, lost or stolen
CONDITION – WORN
A worn iPhone 15 Pro Max may show signs of damage such as a damaged screen, back cover or camera. However, it must not have been exposed to liquid. Both Touch ID and Face ID must work flawlessly. The device may contain parts of unknown origin, such as an ‘unknown display message’ or ‘unknown battery message’.
The device is worn if one or more of the following points apply:
- The device has a broken screen or back
- The device has battery problems but can turn on and has a capacity of over 70%
- The device has problems with, for example, the camera, speakers or the like
- The device’s Face ID or Touch ID must work
- The device has scratches in the screen or nicks in the frame/back cover
- The device must not have been exposed to liquid
- The device must not be locked with Apple ID
- The device must not have been reported missing, lost or stolen
CONDITION – GOOD
An iPhone 15 Pro Max in good condition may have normal signs of use and a battery that is depleted (but with more than 89% capacity). All other functions of the device must work perfectly. There must be no notices of unknown spare parts.
The device is in good condition if one or more of the following points apply:
- The device has an intact and functional screen and back
- The device may have superficial scratches on the screen and back
- The device does not have any software or hardware errors
- The device turns on and battery capacity is above 85%
- The device has a functional camera, speakers, charging port etc
- The device’s Face ID or Touch ID must work
- The device must not have been exposed to liquid
- The device must not be locked with Apple ID
- The device must not have been reported missing, lost or stolen
CONDITION – AS NEW
An iPhone 15 Pro Max that is considered new can be a trade-in phone or a factory-new phone in original packaging. In rare cases, it can also be a phone that has only been used for up to 72 hours. There must be no faults, signs of use or defects.
The device is like new if one or more of the following points apply:
- The device has an intact and fully functional screen and back
- The device has no visible scratches in the screen or nicks in the frame or back
- The device does not have any software or hardware errors
- The device’s Face ID or Touch ID must work
- The device is fully functional and battery capacity is over 90%
- The device must not have been exposed to liquid
- The device must not be locked with Apple ID
- The device must not have been reported missing, lost or stolen
In order for Apple Repair to purchase your device, ‘Find My iPhone’ must be disabled via iCloud. If you cannot access the device directly, this can also be done via Apple’s website.
Apple Repair reserves the right to refuse the purchase of phones with errors on the IC chip or other problems related to the motherboard. Units reported stolen and attempted to be sold will be reported to the police.
